Terms of Service

SchoolGate is a multi-tenant school management platform provided over the internet at schoolgate.net. These terms govern your school's use of the platform and any related support we provide.

We may improve or change features from time to time. We give reasonable notice of material changes that affect how schools use the service.

Each user receives credentials tied to a role, such as school head, teacher, bursar, guardian or government official. Access to data is limited to what each role requires.

Schools and users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under their accounts. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

The school is responsible for the accuracy of the learner data it enters, including enrolment, attendance, grades and fee records, and for obtaining any consents required to process that data.

Schools must confirm guardianship before linking guardians to learners and must keep staff and guardian access current as people join and leave the school.

Subscription fees for SchoolGate are invoiced in USD and formatted as, for example, $1,234.00. The applicable fees and billing cycle are set out in your school's order.

Fees are due within the period stated on each invoice. We may suspend access to accounts with long-overdue balances after giving notice.

The platform is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

We are not liable for decisions a school or official makes based on data the school itself has entered.
